Moon Arcade - Videorama: Conquest

Italian horror maestro Lucio Fulci's delirious, vaseline-lensed, smoky fever dream of high fantasy CONQUEST is one of the director's most underrated efforts. Ostensibly an Italian rip-off of Conan the Barbarian, the film follows Illias as he battles monsters, mutants, and a scantily-clad evil witch with a magic bow and arrow on his journey to manhood.

Featuring a score by Claudio Simonetti of Goblin fame, a healthy dose of zombies - Fulci's claim to fame - and a script high in scope and low on sense, CONQUEST makes for perfect lo-fi VHS viewing.
